Description
Whiston Parish Council wish to seek tender submissions in respect of partial repairs to the North East elevation of their Manorial Barn (thatched roof), from left hand gable to the small entrance door.
When partially replacing the roof, casing of a new coat of thatch on top of the old is required, in order to reduce cost, time and disruption by leaving the old roof intact to minimise disruption. To involve cleaning debris and rotten material to make a firm base, thatching with a 12 inch coat of water reed and reinstating the ridge in long straw, with all waste materials to be removed from site.
