Description

The final date and time for the submission of bids is Monday 19th November at 14:00.

Shack-Hartmann Wavefront Sensor

The wavefront sensors will be used to characterize and control the deformable mirrors on different high power laser facilities at the Central Laser Facility. For that reason it must be compatible to the Adaptive Optic control software in use.

Minimum Specifications:

Resolution: At least 50 x 60 sampling points

Operational aperture of at least 7mm x 5mm

Tilt dynamic range: ± 3°

Focus dynamic range: ±0.026 m to ± ∞

Repeatability (rms): λ/200

Absolute wavefront measurement accuracy between 600nm and 1100 nm (rms): λ/100

External trigger: TTL signal

Minimum Working spectral range: 600-1100 nm

Interface: Ethernet

Power: Over Ethernet (PoE)

Dimensions: Smaller than 70 mm x 70 mm x 70 mm

Operating system: Windows 7 and 10

It is preferred that the instrument can work in single shot, capable of capturing and analyse pulses with an external trigger input, at repetition rates of less than 0.1 Hz. If this cannot be offered we will accept and instrument that uses either multiple pulses or continuous laser.

The contract will be let for a period of 2 years with the option to extend by a further 2 years on a 2+1+1 basis up to a maximum contract value of £176,000.

Pricing will be fixed for the first 2 year period.

It is anticipated that 4 x Shack-Hartmann Wavefront Sensors will be purchased by the end of this financial year (delivery before the end of March 2019).
