Description
The purpose of this work is to scope out potential methodologies for collecting quantitative data comparing key indicators between schools delivering outdoor learning and schools who are not currently engaged with learning outdoors. There is strong evidence that time in nature has a multitude of benefits for children however there is little randomised control trial evidence for this.
This project will review the quantitative evidence currently available, identify specific key indicators for research (for example: improved wellbeing, improved physical health/attendance/behaviour/attainment etc) by liaising with stakeholders including other Government Departments to identify their needs. It will present a small number of costed methodologies through which robust quantitative evidence can be collected to enable comparison to be made between schools delivering outdoor learning and schools who are not engaged with learning outdoors. Provide a brief description of the service, e.g. estimated timescales and location. Include an overview of the information suppliers would need to decide whether they would be interested in an opportunity.
