Description
West Dorset District Council invites pre-qualification applications from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to tender for the detailed design and construction of strengthening works to the Deep Water Berth quay wall at Bridport Harbour, West Bay, West Dorset. It is intended that the submitted pre-qualification questionnaires will be used to select five contractors to tender for the contract.
The contract will comprise detailed design, supply and construction of works to strengthen and support a 25 metre length of dilapidated, grade 2 listed, mass concrete and masonry quay wall using bored, small diameter piles, and to provide a relieving slab, supported on bored piles, immediately landward of the wall. The form of contract is NEC Engineering and Construction Contract, Option C: target contract with activity schedule. Construction is provisionally programmed for early 2017.
Contractors wishing to tender for the contract should complete the attached pre-qualification questionnaire (Appendix 1) and return it by email to Sarah Cairns (SCairns@dorset.gov.uk) and Cc Nick Browning (nbrowning@dorset.gov.uk) by no later than 12:00pm on Monday, 20th June, 2016.
