Brief Description of Requirement

We seek to procure an integrated optical system to act as a seed source for a high energy, diode-pumped ytterbium-YAG (Yb:YAG), chirped-pulse amplification (CPA) laser system.

The source will include of:
• A mode-locked oscillator.
• Probably one or more optical amplifiers.
• A provision to integrate a (customer-supplied) chirped fibre Bragg grating (CFBG) stretcher.

The main components will be connected to each other through optical fibre, fusion spliced where appropriate and connectorised where necessary.

This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the ITQ document.

If you have not yet registered on the eSourcing Suite, this can be done online at https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk by following the link 'Register for CCS eSourcing'.
