Description

The University of London and Senate House Library are proud to announce an opportunity for an experienced and suitably qualified contractor to help deliver their Library Modernisation Programme over the next 3 years. Phase 1 of the Programme is to introduce a new service model by 30 September 2018, requiring a realignment of the current space on the fourth floor of the building. This will have an impact on floors 5 through 7 and has the potential to redevelop the entire 7th floor as a separate phase.

The purpose of this tender is to recruit an individual consultant architect or architectural consultancy who can help Senate House Library reach their goal to provide world class research facilities and a premier researcher experience. The successful consultant will develop a client brief for a programme of redevelopment work on floors 4 through 7, where the new service model will primarily be delivered. They will also need to create an early stage design for the potential use of the 7th floor.

There are 2 consultancy work packages required, for Space Realignment Consultancy Services and Service Development & Change Management Consultancy Services and note that we have advertised separate tenders for each. A third ITT pack is also available for those suppliers who wish to submit a bid for both services. All 3 ITT packs are attached to this advert and contain more information about the project and the contract that will be awarded. Suppliers are strongly advised to read these thoroughly before deciding to bid.

Senate House Library will be holding a Supplier Engagement Day for suppliers to find out more about the tender and contract. This event will provide more information about the contract to be awarded and suppliers can meet the University of London Library and Procurement project team members. Suppliers will also have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the tender and contract:
