Works Specification

Summary of Works
Renovation and reordering of public toilet facilities in Central Car Park, Burgess St, Leominster (Postcode: HR6 8BN. Google location ref: 52.227536347401795, -2.740061322325115). Conversion from separate male, female and accessible facilities, to 2 unisex and baby changing units, with extension of accessible unit and creation of a new service area.

Description of Works
- Removal of unrequired internal walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures and fittings.
- Construction of new internal layout in 100mm lightweight concrete block.
- Alteration of doorways, as required.
- Installation of Proclad Premium white panels to walls, flush-filled with jointing filler.
- Installation of Aquaclad PVC ceiling panels throughout.
- Installation of Gerflor Tarasafe Ultra H2O flooring with 150mm upstands throughout.
- Alterations to water and waste supply and drainage, as required.
- Alterations to wiring, as required.
- Supply and fit all sanitary ware, grab rails and electrical goods (hand driers, lights, extractor fans, heaters).
- Installation of 3 sharps disposal tubes (one per cubicle)
- Installation of 3 velux sun tubes (one per cubicle)
- Installation of solar panels on all suitable roof surfaces.
- Installation of metal gating on entrances to prevent access when facilities are closed, with provision for securing gates when facilities are open.
- Remediation of sharp edging to benching in sewage manhole located on Central Car Park access road to the West of the Central Area toilet facilities.

Works must:
- include procurement and costs of any scaffolding required to support the works.
- include all waste removal arrangements (note: all waste metal is to be returned to Leominster Town Council.)
- include appropriate lighting, signage and guarding to protect members of the public for the duration of the works.
- leave the site clean, tidy and ready for use.
- give consideration to environmental sustainability in selection of materials and working practices
