Description

The National College for High Speed Rail (NCHSR) would like to hear from any organisations willing to share information by contributing to this Soft Market Test exercise

The College is at early stage in development its proposals for a BIM Cave but prior to formulating any formal procurement opportunity, seeks input from the market as to what might be the most potentially attractive way of packaging and scoping this procurement opportunity.

NCHSR are keen to explore all options or solutions that may currently be available in the market and would also be interested in responses that show how such a BIM Cave solution could be developed to maximise the opportunities in areas such as;
• Promote the benefits and use of BIM
• Demonstrate the collaborative approach for integrated system design
• Facilitates class size (max 10?) tuition
• Enables students to present and share work and project exercises
• Learning and Fun combined
• Appreciation and understanding of complex designs, construction methodology, sequencing

In addition the use and application of VR/AR, Pre-Construction Design, Construction methodology and sequencing, Asset Maintenance and Integrated design management and solutions etc

Please note this is not a call for competition, this is for the purpose of conducting a soft market testing exercise and will not formally begin the procurement or constitute any commitment to undertake any procurement exercise.

Potential Suppliers will not be prejudiced by any response or failure to respond to this soft market test exercise in any resulting procurement process.

Should you feel your organisation can contribute to this test then please complete the questionnaire at the end of the document form and return to procurement@nchsr.ac.uk. Only responses on the form will be accepted, and should be returned by 23.59 on Friday 21st July 2017 at the very latest.
