Description

Binfield Parish Council are seeking "Expressions of Interest" from local and regional contractors to tender for the proposed extensions at Binfield Parish Office.
Planning permission has been approved by Bracknell Forest Council (17/00331/FUL) in July 2017 for the construction of two single storey extensions to the existing Binfield Parish Office, forming on the West elevation a new council meeting room with loft storage ( 48m2) and on the East elevation a new community hub facility comprising a reception area, community area / activity space, catering facilities and toilets (165m2), in addition the existing office areas (89m2) are to be remodelled and refurbished.
External works to extend the existing car parking, realignment of footpaths and external paved areas will also be undertaken. This could be considered as a separate project.

The works will be of traditional construction incorporating a structural frame (possibly Glulam timber) to form a vaulted ceiling in the community hub.
The existing Parish Offices will be vacated during the works to provide unhindered access.
The contractor's works will also include design detailing for the structural frame, MEP installations and interfacing connections with the existing building.
The contract will be a JCT Minor Works 2016 contract and may include contractor design portions.
Appointment of the successful contractor is anticipated in November 2017 with overall completion by the 29th June 2018 (estimate).
The tender opportunity will be restricted to six contractors and will be administered by Binfield Parish Council in conjunction with their appointed professional team.
