Description

Forest Research is seeking fixed lump sum price tenders for building extension and refurbishment works at its Alice Holt Research Station site (Wrecclesham, nr Farnham) in accordance with the attached Invitation to Tender documents.

The works involve extension to the existing 'Header House' building and minor refurbishment and external works to same, demolition/ dismantling of several outbuildings, access road and path works and some landscaping.

The works will be procured on a design & build basis using the JCT Design and Build Contract 2016.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TENDERING
Prospective tenderers must note the following.

Tenders will not be considered from suppliers who fail to meet any of the following requirements:
1. An annual turnover of £3m or more
2. Previous experience as principal contractor and as designer under the CDM Regulations 2015
3. A Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001
4. An Environmental Management System certified to ISO 14001
5. In possession of (or able to obtain) professional indemnity insurance cover of not less than £1m
6. Acceptance of the JCT DB 2016 terms & conditions as the basis of any subsequent contract
7. Have participated in a site visit.
