Description
Background
Black Country Housing Group have won National Lottery funding to develop and support Digital Learning Hubs across the Black Country from April 2023 till March 2026. Part of the support on offer to community groups will be to supply them with re-furbished but serviceable laptops if they currently have inadequate IT facilities.
Value of contract
Estimated at over £10,000 on a 'draw down basis' for the whole of the project life (three years).
Requirements
The project intends to gift out 120 laptops to community groups over the course of the three years. We are looking for a supplier who can fulfil the following essential criteria
Supply of re-conditioned laptops which have the following:
• Data destruction and certification
• Audit reports to confirm that the machines have been data wiped
• Full functionality test
• Software installation (Microsoft office or similar)
• PAT test device and cables and certification
• Physical cleaning
• Packaging (individually boxed and labelled)
• Delivery to Black Country Housing Group or collection from an address within the Black Country environs.
The procurement of the laptops will be negotiated with BCHG, it is anticipated that an initial pro-rata payment for the supply of 20 laptops will be made to the supplier with any further payments being dependent on the project demands. We cannot guarantee that all 120 laptops will be procured although we anticipate demand for this.
