Description

The University of Chester seeks to procure, install, commission and support a FIREX High-P 70L high volume industrial kettle, identical to the unit previously installed under ERDF Ref X02658PR in the University's NoWFOOD Centre. Whilst there are technical reasons why the unit must be identical to that already supplied, this unit may be procured, installed, commissioned and supported by a range of organisations hence the tender seeks to find the best package for all these elements.

The unit will be installed 'parallel' to the existing unit such that users of the NoWFOOD Food Innovation Centre can either use both units in parallel for identical food processing, or use the two units in different configurations or processes. The NoWFOOD Centre is a highly popular commercial resource for the University and as such, units must be reliable, robust and be extremely well maintained and supported.

Please note that the I2C project has a limited budget within which it is endeavouring to source all its equipment and tenderers are therefore strongly encouraged to submit their most "cost effective" options that most closely meets at least the minimum specification as detailed within "Document 2 - Specification & Pricing Schedule".

Tenders for pre-owned, ex-demonstrator or refurbished equipment will not be acceptable.

The unit must be supplied, installed and commissioned in a time frame of less than 14 weeks after order.

The tender supplied must detail an overall cost which includes (as well as the unit), installation, commissioning and 2 years full parts warranty and support for the unit.

The I2C project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Ref: 03R16P00976
