Description

The National Physical Laboratory [NPL] require a Nitrogen Vacancy (NV) scanning probe microscope (SPM) system operating on quantum principles and with the ability to spatially resolve micro-Tesla magnetic fields with nanometre precision. The equipment has to include a scanning stage system with capabilities comparable to commercial AFM systems (i.e. scanning range, noise/drift performance). The system will also be able to perform a range of NV imaging modes: quenched mode scanning, quantitative field scanning and as such will include all the necessary optics, laser sources and microwave electronics to be able to do so.
