Description

The Social Mobility Commission is seeking tenders from polling companies for the Social Mobility Barometer - which aims to achieve a snapshot of how people in the UK perceive their own prospects in relation to that of their parents and their children and their overall attitudes to social mobility in the UK. At present, social mobility data tends to come from long term surveys. The Social Mobility Barometer will provide a more immediate picture to inform the Commission's reports and advocacy work. We intend for the survey to become an annual undertaking that will allow us to track public attitudes to social mobility issues.
