Description

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (The Council) operates a fleet of approximately 500 road going vehicles comprising of cars, small vans, mini buses, tippers, road sweepers, refuse collection vehicles as well as approximately 300 agricultural, waste and construction vehicle comprising of ride on mowers, wheeled loaders and ejector trailers up to 44,000kg GVW.

The Council requires a suitably experienced contractor to undertake a full tyre management repair and replacement contract for the above mentioned fleet via a Pay As You Go (PAYG) contract.

The service will include tyre replacements, tyre repairs, re-grooving, puncture repairs, torque/re-torque procedures, tyre wear equalisation and multi depot cover at start and finish times specified below.

Normal working hours: 06:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and Bank Holidays
Out of hours: 18:00 to 06:00 Monday to Friday and Bank Holidays, 24hrs Saturday and Sunday.

Dedicated Tyre Technicians, vehicles and equipment will be required as part of the contract to ensure the Council has sufficient cover at all times. One fitter will be required at each depot listed below:

Shearbridge Depot, Bradford
Stockbridge Depot, Keighley

The Council shall not accept Subcontractors as part of this contract. However, in the event of an exceptional circumstance and only with specific and explicit approval from Fleet and Transport Services this may be considered
