Address where possible WFD mitigation measures associated with land drainage work undertaken by the EA, National Rivers Authority (NRA) and predecessor organisations in the North Northumberland Coast area;
Delivery of the EA's legal obligations under the Habitats Regulations 2017, Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981, and Water Environment Regulations 2017;
Meet our 25 Year Environmental Plan objectives by helping develop a growing and resilient network of land, water and sea that is richer in plants and wildlife;
Help the EA to achieve its eMission2030 sustainability targets through the potential to own a proportion of BNG units and carbon sequestration delivered as part of the scheme.
