Description
NHS Southwark CCG would like to notify you of a market engagement event to discuss a potential service model and specification for a community dermatology service. An initial draft of the specification is attached to this notice.
The service will play a key role in supporting the CCG in its strategy to optimise the value of referrals and improve patient experience and outcomes. The Service will manage a broad range of dermatological conditions and support the development of sustainable care pathways, which are cost-effective, responsive to local need, clearly articulated between clinical partners and underpinned by a combination of effective referral optimisation and robust educational support. The service will also play a pivotal role in strengthening the dermatology offering in Southwark, by providing a link between primary and secondary care, building capacity and expertise within the community and diverting less complex activity away from the acute trusts, thereby improving access to secondary care for those patients requiring consultant-led treatment.
The CCG will be holding a market engagement event on 29 June 2017 from 3-5pm at 160, Tooley Street, London Bridge.
This is a free event hosted by NHS Southwark CCG and open to all potential service providers.
The purpose of this event is to have an opportunity to meet with potential providers and stakeholders together in an informal and dynamic atmosphere to discuss and explore how such a service could best benefit Southwark patients, and to understand what different providers may have to offer in terms of service development, ideas and innovation.
We hope that this event will provide potential providers with an insight into the service NHS Southwark CCG want to commission and give them an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification where necessary. It will also be an ideal opportunity for providers to express their thoughts on what an ideal service should provide and ideas on how these recommendations can be implemented and delivered.
It is anticipated that the new service will commence in April 2018
