Description
Lancashire County Council (the Council) invites interested stakeholders to early market engagement in relation to the provision of residual waste treatment from 2025 onwards. Due to expected interest levels, places will be strictly limited to two people from each company. The Council is keen to move away from landfill and to better understand what the market can offer in terms of treatment alternatives for residual waste; in particular treatments that will deliver best value. The event will also need to consider the transportation of waste, potential impact of any changes to the composition and volumes of residual waste and to environmental legislation over time. Please note that the purpose of this event is for the Council to engage with the market and affirm an understanding of what it has to offer to assist the Council. This notice is only intended to alert businesses to a market engagement event. It is not the start of the formal tender process, although outcomes from this event may be used to shape the formal tendering process.
