Description
The University seeks in part to replace an old system, and in part to enhance the Security of the main University buildings. The submission should be itemised for each location under the two projects.
Our chosen Access Control system is Paxton and we have already started some replacement on site of the old system and specified for new buildings. You must have an agreement with Paxton to supply & support their equipment & prove good working knowledge of the system.
If you are currently unable to support this system, you will need to submit details within your proposal on how you will manage the university's site portfolio and what investment would be needed to handle any switchover.
Subcontracting or assignment of this contract is not acceptable.
All systems specified are to comply with, and be maintained to the relevant codes of practice and/or laid down requirements of:
a) SSAIB - Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board. Certification of compliance will be issued upon completion of the installation.
b) bsi. - British Standards Institute - BS EN 50132-1/7
c) BSIA - British Security Industry Association
d) Relevant British Standards
e) ACPO - Association of Chief Police Officers
f) BS 7671 Requirements for the IEE Regulations
It is recommended that all interested companies attend the site survey - dates as above (and also per the tender timetable in document "Part1 invitation to tender letter EFM004").
