Description
Overall Objectives
The overall objectives of the project are:
• To create a space that is interactive, colourful, comfortable and flexible.
• To enhance the potential that each area of Darwin (Cabaret, Soft Seating and Desk area) has to enable effective learning.
• To implement a solution to overcome the inability of separating the Desk area from the rest of the room.
• To create a space that is consistent with our recent transformation while creating its own identity as the 'learning area'.
Scope of Work
The scope of the project includes:
The work includes the three areas defined above. In terms of requirements we are only concentrating on furnishing so this procurement is for the delivery and installation of goods that are aligned to this document. In terms of the goods there are some items that we have specific requirements for whereby the Contractor must meet the specification. There is the possibility to provide options however be aware that Ofwat will select the offer with the items that comply with the requirements at the most competitive price and that meets delivery requirements. There are some items that are more flexible for which we require the Contractor to propose options; for example different styles and colour of chair or stool in which case we would make our selection based on the extent it matches our needs, Ofwat's established transformation and the price.
Goods delivered must comply with all appropriate standards and legislation. Failure to comply, with Ofwat's requirements as specified in this document may disqualify your bid.
The chosen Contractor must be able to supply, deliver and install the goods agreed in the contract by the 31st March 2017.
Key Tasks and Deliverables
In order to achieve the overall objectives, the Customer expects that the following key tasks and deliverables will be carried out by the Contractor.
A. Provide the Customer images of the item/s they are able to provide for each of the items identified in the table above. Detail must be included around the fabric and colour options, features, details (dimensions etc.) and cost of each item. The successful bidder will be chosen based on:
I. Whether the items matches our requirements;
II. Whether the options compliment the look of our newly transformed offices;
III. the items align with the requirements of the room explained in this document; and
IV. on price.
It is up to the bidder whether or not they provide layout options for the areas.
B. To deliver and install the items selected by 31st March 2017.
I. The bidder must be able to confirm that the items can be delivered and installed by 31st March 2017.
