Description

Expressions of interest are invited from appropriately experienced and capable providers to commence an engagement with NHS Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to assist the CCG to develop its commissioning intentions for both a GP Practice and a Primary Care Hub Service to be delivered jointly, from The Junction Health Centre ('The Junction'), Clapham, London.

The CCG is in the process of undertaking patient and public engagement, as well as seeking necessary approvals from NHS England, in regard to the future provision of primary care services from The Junction. Engagement with interested providers will assist to validate the viability of the commissioning intentions and commercial model currently being developed.

The current GP practice provision is via an APMS contract which is due to expire in March 2020. Whilst needing to commission a new APMS contract for a registered patient list size of 8,300, the CCG wishes to explore how this could potentially be provided as an integrated model incorporating a Primary Care Hub Service which would offer services to a wider patient population registered with other local GP practices, as well as to those who are non-registered but resident in the Borough. It is intended that 'Hub' services will offer routine primary medical service appointments to Wandsworth registered and resident population outside of core opening hours, bookable by the patient's own GP or via NHS 111.

Whilst participation in this engagement exercise is not a mandatory requirement for participating in any potential future procurement, the level of responses received will assist to inform the Commissioner as to the level of interest from the market and will be used as evidence as to the appropriate process to award any a contract and whether to undertake a competitive procurement.

TO EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST, please complete and return the Market Engagement Questionnaire (MEQ) by *** 12 noon, Tuesday 26 March 2019 *** by email to phil_gouldbourn@nhs.net with the email subject heading "Wandsworth APMS/Hub Service - Market Engagement Response".

Your feedback will be helpful to the CCG and the CCG will plan to engage further with those providers who have expressed an interest, including sharing updates of the future service as specifications and commercial assumptions become more clearly defined.

***Responding organisations are also to be invited to a Market Engagement event on afternoon of Friday 5th April (2pm-5pm) at a venue TBC in Wimbledon***
