Brief Description of Requirement
UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) on behalf of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), wishes to establish a Contract for the purchase of several thousand Hybrid circuits for Atlas Upgrade (plus an optional extra for a noncommittal additional 20% to be ordered within the lifespan of the contract) as per the specification below.
UK SBS is managing this procurement process in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as may be amended from time to time) (the "Regulations").
This is a Supplies Contract being procured under the Open OJEU Procedure regulations.
This RFP sets out details of the Contract and expectations of any successful supplier.
This Contract will be awarded to a sole supplier.
An additional tender will be held for the SMD population of these circuits, the winning bidder of each tender will be required to work together ensuring the production schedule in maintained.
Scope
This specification covers the procurement of several thousand Hybrid circuits for Atlas Upgrade - CERN. The custom-built circuit requirements are of 2 separate designs, Hybrid x (14508 units plus an optional 20%) and Hybrid y (5177 unit plus an optional 20%) of which 500-600 boards are to be delivered per month within 2 months of award. The circuits come as 4-layer flexes using the DuPont Pyralux family of materials, with a mix of micro-vias and precision non-plated through-holes. The circuits are to be fabricated in accordance to IPC-6011/6013 Class 3, their material usage and stack-up as per specification.
