Description
The Trust is seeking to appoint a supplier to provide a dedicated Patient Transport Ambulance to operate under the direct management of the Hospital.
The successful provider shall :
• Provide a dedicated, double crewed vehicle seven days a week, for the period 01 April 2017 to 30 September 2017. This may be extended beyond that period dependant on funding.
• The vehicle shall be under the direct instruction of the Hospital's Facilities Department, Emergency Department and Discharge Coordinators during this period.
• The hours of service shall be 1100 to 2300 daily.
• The principle operating area will be southern Wiltshire and surround areas of Hampshire and Dorset, although the Hospital shall be able to assign further trips where necessary.
• The vehicle will be able to handle both wheelchairs and stretchers.
• All crew shall be appropriately qualified, DBS checked, and experienced, and the Trust shall have the right to require proof of such.
• The service shall be provided by the Supplier without subcontracting.
