Description

"The overall objective of this project is to use the Hertfordshire Chalk Groundwater Model to conduct a comprehensive assessment of various abstraction scenarios in the Upper Lee catchment with the aim of understanding the resulting changes in chalk groundwater level and river flow. Furthermore it will seek to understand if and how those changes might contribute to groundwater emergence, and possibly affect groundwater quality.

The outcome will provide the Environment Agency and Affinity Water critical information for making the required decisions on the planned sustainability reductions and mitigating measures to implement.
