Description
Newborough and Borough Fen Parish Council are in the process of installing a skate ramp in its playing field at Fernie Close, Newborough, Cambridgeshire.
Newborough is a medium sized village with a population of 1475 residents, together with Borough Fen.
We invite you to tender a quotation for the supply and installation of the skate ramp.
Your tender should include: -
Groundwork & civils
Attached Drawing 706-S01-02 (illustration purposes only)
Attached Ground investigation report by Lucian Ground Engineering Ltd
The ground around Newborough and Borough Fen is of poor quality for construction, therefore any building work requires substantial foundations. Based on the ground investigation report a detailed civils drawing through section A is required within the tender. This must be of substantial design to accommodate the weight of the proposed skate ramp.
Construction
Based on the attached drawing 706-S01-03, please show side and end views detailing the design and materials proposed within the construction of the skate ramp.
Landscaping & drainage design
Attached Drawing 706-P01-01
All mounds as shown to be grassed upon completion in accordance with the attached drawing.
Attached drainage report by Stuart Hemmings B Sc C Eng MICE MIWEM
A detailed drawing and drainage scheme to accommodate the surface water from the ramp to prevent flooding.
Details of the tree protection measures to be implanted during the construction of the ramp.
Any damage to the grass from the entrance to the park and the site must be made good upon completion of the project.

• Lead time from tender acceptance to project commencement. The Parish Council wish to have this completed by Spring 2025 (weather permitting)
• Safety and security of the site during works
• Details of warranty.
• Details of service schedules or requirements to validate warranty including relevant terms
and conditions of warranty.
• Life expectancy of the skate ramp.
• Evidence of at least three other installations that have been done within 30 mile radius that
can be inspected and testimonies sought
In addition, you are required to supply: -
• Evidence of VAT registration
• Copy of third-party insurance liability
• Copy of risk assessment of prospective works
• Copy of COSHH assessment for the prospective works
• Waste Management Licence
All tender applicants are invited to view the prospective location of the works to carry out a survey.
