Description
Leicestershire County Council operates and manages 13 Recycling & Household Waste (RHWS) operating, on a rota basis, 7 days a week for 52 weeks a year. (All sites are closed only on Christmas, Boxing and New Year's Days). All sites have Husmann compaction equipment, comprising in total, 53 ST-SEL-VZ static, 3 SPB SEL portable and 13 GT 1750 roller compactors.
The Council requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Supplier to provide an on-site service to all its compaction equipment at all 13 sites covering both:
• planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and,
• reactive maintenance (RM)
The scope of the services required includes provision of:
• All labour, including management supervision and overheads;
• Travel time and mileage costs;
• Equipment, tools and materials;
• Sourcing and supply of parts;
• Written reports of work carried out;
• Written machine condition reports following each service or repair visit.
The contract has the following service delivery components:
• a planned scheduled delivery of a defined service (PPM)
• an undefined, but planned delivery of scheduled work (RM planned)
• an undefined and unplanned delivery of work (RM reactive).
The anticipated total value of the Requirements is expected to be between £50,000 and £250,000.00 per annum. The Council proposes to enter into one Contract for a maximum initial period of 3 years with the option to extend by a period or periods totalling up to a further 24 months with the successful Tenderer.
