Description

In order to enable a smooth transition to new border arrangements with Europe and meet the associated obligations for a controlled and secure border, HMRC needs to manage a portfolio of activity. It is required to put in place additional frontier facilities to support Government Departments carry out different checks. Their purpose is to undertake border readiness checks by HMRC checks regarding Common Transit Convention (CTC) movements (Offices of Departure/Destination) and the international customs document ATA (Admission Temporary Admission) Carnets.
