Description

Please note that this advert closes on 18th November 2024 0900. No further interest will be accepted after this date.

The purpose of this tender (RHC - 23) is for the installation and removal of seating stands to support up to 2400 seats. In addition, requires a built platform that merges two large areas of grass.

The Royal Hospital has 230 staff and up to 300 residents on site and for the purpose of the Founder's Day requirement there would be a need for seating for 2,400 guests and members of the public on site who could potentially be making use of the Seating for the Parade segment of Founders Day.

Scale of Requirement:
• All such structural units are erected according to any plan issued to the Royal Hospital Chelsea, which have been approved by the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
• It is desirable that, in the future, the allocation of seating will be done using software tools. In addition to an A1 paper plan of the seating, it would be beneficial for it to be available in a format that would interoperate with ticketing software/applications.
• All structures are checked and certified as being safe for use by an accredited competent person before the setup is handed over to a member of Royal Hospital Facilities Management staff.
• All structural units are to be fully erected and secured against adverse weather conditions and handed over to Royal Hospital staff on the day prior to the Governor's Review (which takes place on the Tuesday prior to Founders Day).
• All Stands and seats are clearly marked for ease of the users.
• All open scaffolding structures are covered with a material in keeping with the setting but must be approved by the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
• All structures are removed from Site after, as agreed with the Royal Hospital Chelsea. All areas/surfaces used by the construction team are protected at all times during the build-up and break down of the Stands.
• All RHC In Pensioners, Staff and General Public, are protected from the work force with correct and compliant signage and barriers during the build-up and break down of all Structures, this must include vehicle movement.
