Description
The City of Wolverhampton Council wishes to undertake data capture and analysis of its secondary and special school provision to enable it to plan to effectively meet its statutory duties to ensure the supply of sufficient school places.
As a result of demographic pressures the City of Wolverhampton anticipates that it will need to increase the supply of secondary places from September 2017.
The position is however a developing one and is subject to a wide range of internal and external variables including the expression of parental choice, the aspirations of local academy schools, the actions of potential sponsors and those of adjacent authorities, one of whom is embarking upon a secondary school closure proposal.
