Description
Remedial works are required to resolve the water ingress from the roof into Rivers House, Bridgwater. Details can be found within the roof inspection survey attached, and site visits are encouraged, by appointment.
Work required
• A section of cracked mortar to the gable over the main entrance needs to be removed and repointed to prevent falling material.
• Slipped roof tile to the front elevation need to be replaced to prevent slipping / falling.
• Valley Gutters need debris clearing at high level due to bird infestation.
• Lifting of roof tiles either side of valley gutters is required to check existing valley linings are correctly dressed and fixed.
• Valley tiles need replacing in places and repointed to the ridge to prevent water ingress.
• Replacement of the roof edge drip detail between the two courses of roof tiles and lapping below the existing sarking felt to ensure any water discharges into the rainwater gutter.
We will require the quotation to be itemised for each of the above actions as the work may need to be part of an actioned priority list.
The Property
The property comprises of a two storey office facility which is constructed of faced brickwork with pitched, hipped and gable end roofs over the main office. The pitched roofs comprise of concrete interlocking tiles with half round concrete ridge tiles to the hips and main ridge line of the roof. The roof has sarking felt underlay below the concrete tiles and valley gutters that are formed with a GRP type liner.
