Description

UPDATE 31.08.2018: REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT HAS NOW CLOSED.

Due to high level of interest from the market and limited space available, the registration has now closed. If you would like to receive the presentation pack and a copy of Questions and Answers from the event day, please send us your details by completing the registration form. We won't be able to accept any more attendees but we will ensure that you receive all the information from the event day via email.

NHS England would like to invite stakeholders to attend a Stakeholder Engagement Event, which will inform plans to re-commission Healthcare Services at Wandsworth and Brixton prisons.

NHS England London is responsible for commissioning outcome-focused prison healthcare services, equivalent to those available to the local community and intends to commission a provider(s) for the provision of the majority of healthcare services across either or both of the two prisons.

Each prison will require a comprehensive range of in-house services including:
- Primary Care GP and Nursing Services
- Healthcare Administration
- Mental Health Services
- Sexual Health Services
- Clinical Substance Misuse Services
- Psycho-social interventions service for substance misusers
- Allied Healthcare Services e.g. Chiropody/Podiatry, Physiotherapy etc.
- Optometry services
- Pharmaceutical Services
- Clinical Waste management
- Escorts and Bedwatches management
- Radiography Services
- Health Promotion
- Continuity of Care
- Dental Services (TBC)

We are particularly looking to encourage innovation in service delivery to increase links to community services and to reduce outpatient appointments. The Market Engagement Event aims to highlight our thoughts, invite feedback on our ideas and Commissioning intentions with potential providers and to encourage the submission of quality bids.

It is intended that a procurement process to select a suitable provider(s) will commence in the autumn 2018 with a view for the services to commence from 1st September 2019.

The Stakeholder Engagement Event will take place on 10th September 2018 from 12.00 - 16:30 in Waterloo in London.

The exact address will be published to those that register their interest to attend. As part of the information we will be publishing a series of questions that we would like feedback on to ensure that our process, approach and strategy aligns with how you, as the service deliver experts see this procurement and sector.

The Event will provide:
- an overview of the proposed services to be provided
- details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions
- an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timeline
- an opportunity to network with other providers

Please note that places to this event are limited and reservations will be strictly allocated on a first come first served basis.

Registration desk will be open from 12.00pm - 12.30pm. Presentations will start from 12:30pm.
