Description

We invite expressions of interest to form the National Centre to administer the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Developments (OECD) Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2021 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Studies such as PISA compare education outcomes around the world. They help us to understand the strengths of our school system and where we need to improve. It is DfE's vision to offer world-class education, training and care for everyone, whatever their background. international comparison studies such as PISA tell us how well we are doing this.
The role of the National Centre is:
• Undertake the National Project Manager role, being the UK representative to the study and inputting to decisions on how PISA 2021 will be run.
• Administer PISA 2021 in the UK (excluding Scotland) according to the specification agreed at international level by the PISA Board of Participating Countries, and meeting OECD requirements in order that data for the UK is included within the international dataset, analysis and reporting.
• Collect sufficient data for results to be reported separately for each of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
• Prepare and disseminate national reports for each of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, which present findings in both an international context, and according to the priorities of each country.
