Description

Ealing Council, in June 2017 will be going out to tender a new Impartial Special Educational Needs and Disability Information Advice Service (ISENDIAS) for Contract to start in January 2018.
The purpose of the ISENDIAS is to promote, support and facilitate where necessary, partnership between children, young people and their families and the Local Authority (LA), Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), schools, health services and voluntary bodies in identifying, assessing and making provision for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities.

The Outcomes of the service are:
• Parents/carers and young people feel better informed about health, care and education services
• Parents/carers and young people have improved independence and feel empowered to make decisions
• Disagreement resolution and tribunals are a last resort, and the service's skill ensures most cases are resolved amicably.
