Description
The Authority's, Immigration Enforcement (IE) Directorate is responsible for removing immigration offenders, prosecuting criminals who facilitate immigration crime and ensuring compliance with immigration law.
Section 61 and Schedule 10 of the Immigration Act 2016, together with other immigration acts place a duty on the Secretary of State subject to limited exceptions to electronically monitor persons subject to deportation proceedings or a deportation order. This may include persons who have been granted immigration bail. Schedule 10 allows the setting of curfews, inclusion and exclusion zones and prohibits damage to or interference with a monitoring device.
The Home Office is looking for Service Providers to supply;
• Satellite tracking solutions that include a secure device which accurately tracks the location of the wearer together with a compatible software solution that monitors wearer's those movements on and up to 24/7 basis as well as less intrusive devices for lower risk cases;
• Software which includes an alert capability for specified events, e.g. when a wearer removes or attempts to remove the device. The solution may offer a mix of location technology including radio frequency;
• A monitoring capability that incorporates an automated response to alerts;
• Fitting, replacing and removing devices, nationwide;
• A field service that can respond to alerts; and
• A suite of Management Information reports including a self-service capability for the Authority to access monitoring data and reports.
