Description

The Council requires a supplier to supply and install two cameras (devices) in front of the 'Black Sabbath Bench' on Broad Street to capture photographs of visitors which can be downloaded from a dedicated website managed by Westside Business Improvement District (BID).

Birmingham has been granted funding under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Welcome Back Fund to support the safe reopening of high streets and other commercial areas.
A proportion of this funding is to develop events in a number of urban centre across the city in a covid safe manner which will drive footfall back to high streets and shopping areas.

This contract is available for use for projects funded externally from the Council including Reopening High Streets Safely Fund and Welcome Back Fund which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth.

This will involve installation of 2 cameras (devices) on Highways Columns opposite the bench. Technology must allow visitors to place a short message, followed by their name and hometown.

The facility will need to operate 24 hours a day.

Install must take place by 17 March 2022.
