Description

3.1 PECS represents a critical service that joins up functions across a wide and diverse group of Criminal Justice stakeholders including the Courts, the Police, the Youth Custody Service (YCS) and prisons. The delivery of specific requirements for each has historically dictated the strategy adopted in commissioning the service and has resulted in a best fit specification that strikes an appropriate balance between the sometimes-competing individual operational needs of each stakeholder into a holistic solution that flexibly delivers an effective end product for the benefit of the wider system, offenders and the public.
