Description

Buckle Close is a development of 37 flats which are currently being constructed. This consists of a large block of 34 flats which are built from structural masonry, ground bearing concrete floor slab (to be constructed on site by others) and three levels which will each have precast concrete floor slabs. There is also an additional 2 storey block of 3 flats which will have a beam and block ground floor and an upper floor with precast concrete floor slabs.
Buckle Close is a development of social housing which has a mix of 30 flats for social rent and 7 flats for shared ownership. This block will provide much needed housing for Luton which will provide modern good quality housing. It will allow people who cannot obtain suitable private rented accommodation, or to own a home of their own, to have a decent place to live.
The project consists of the supply and installation of Structural Framing System. The full technical specification for the project is detailed in Supporting Documents and the list of applicable drawings is included in Documents. The project is located in Buckle Close, Marsh Farm, Luton, Bedfordshire LU3 3SZ. The contractor will be required to:
1) Carry out design works as necessary.
2) Supply & Fix deliver to site Structural Framing System.
3) Install on site including organising and managing any lifting.
4) Leave site clear and clean for other works to follow.
5) Provide all supervision and preliminaries as required. Welfare, water and electricity will be provided by the client.
6) Manufactures and design warranties.
The contractor will be expected to ascertain all site and access requirements and issues prior to submission of their tender.
