Description

An urgent requirement exists to work with Home Office Border Force (BF) to develop and supply a vessel arrest boom.

The purpose of this requirement is to provide a safe way of stopping a vessel without causing harm to the occupants.

The boom will be required to be deployed at speed at sea from either a RHIB, BF CPV or Cutter and will stop the target vessel by, for example, entangling a vessel's propellers causing them to come to a controlled stop.

The successful bidder will be required to mobilise resources immediately and deliver a product, ready for demonstration, within two weeks of contract award.

Along with the proposal, bidders should confirm their agreement to the following;

• That the Authority retains the right to withdraw this requirement during any stage of this process; and

• that the Supplier agrees to the Authority's Short Form T&C's (C18993 - Vessel Arrest Boom - T&C's) on which the contract will be awarded.

Proposals should be submitted by e-mail to Adam Jones, Home Office Commercial (adam.jones43@homeoffice.gov.uk no later than 17:00hrs BST, Monday 29th June 2020.
