Description

The Leicester School of Pharmacy is one of the UK's most established pharmacy schools, with more than 100 years of teaching and research experience; renowned for academic expertise, professional development training and world-leading research. We provide a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research opportunities. Our professional accreditations, strong links with industry and direct input from registered practitioners ensure we consistently produce graduates of the highest calibre.

Research in the School is currently taking place within the new Leicester Institute for Pharmaceutical Innovation (LIPI) - From Molecules to Practice. The research of the Institute has a specific focus on multidisciplinary approaches to the study of medicines, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare products and services. In addition to our professional accreditations, strong links with industry and direct input from registered practitioners, we are developing world-leading research within global partnerships and networks.

A recent successful award from the EPSRC (Dr Nick Turner) (£80,000.00 ex VAT Limit) has given us the opportunity to expand our analytical chemistry sensor suite with the aim to support this award and further research in the field of biosensors and materials analysis. Specifically we are looking to acquire a Surface Plasmon Resonance instrument.

Therefore the purpose of this Tender process is for the purchase and installation of, along with associated training and support of such an instrument.
