Description
Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is seeking suppliers to join the Unite Procurement Platform to support the supply of Supply of Multi-Tool Head 3D Printer with Enclosure.
The Unite Procurement Platform
(Unite | Simplify indirect procurement with our smarter platform) offers a compliant route to market for UK Public Sector organisations to manage low-value, high-volume procurement.
3.1 Equipment Specification
The 3D printing system must include:
• Large build volume suitable for production scale prototyping
• Multiple independent or coordinated toolheads (minimum 5), enabling:
o Multi material printing
o Multi colour printing
o Tool specific capabilities (e.g., extrusion, support material, engineering polymers)
• Fully assembled unit ready for operation
• Rigid enclosed frame or enclosure bundle for temperature stability, part quality, and operator safety
3.2 Performance Requirements
• High dimensional accuracy and repeatability
• Automatic or assisted bed levelling
• Filament/material compatibility with common engineering materials (PLA, PETG, ABS, nylon, flexible materials, etc.)
• Controlled build chamber for improved material performance
• Integrated monitoring tools (e.g., sensors, display, software interface)
3.3 Software & Integration
• Compatible 3D printing control software
• Support for common file formats (e.g., STL, 3MF, OBJ)
• Remote monitoring and print management capability (where permitted by security policy)
3.4 Safety & Compliance
• Enclosed system to reduce emissions and improve safety
• Compliance with relevant UK and EU equipment safety standards
• Emergency stop function and thermal protection features

Suppliers are encouraged to express their interest by the stated closing date to ensure early consideration. However, applications to join the Unite Procurement Platform will be welcome at any time beyond the initial deadline. Unite Procurement UK Limited reserves the right to review and onboard new suppliers on a rolling basis to meet evolving requirements and to maintain a dynamic and responsive supplier network.
