Description

RMBC currently deploy a highly available Infoblox grid system as its primary DHCP service. Consisting of 2 x Infoblox 1050-A appliances split over 2 geographic locations, running bios version 6.6.0-190356. The platform was originally installed to service DHCP requirements for @ 3,500 VOIP handsets combined with @ 4,500 computer devices. We have 500+ DHCP defined networks installed across the grid supplying IP requests to clients, printers and other network devices. Both appliances currently have dedicated network interface cards that supply addresses to 2 distinct subnets, to allow the separation of data and voice services. Administration is via a web based grid manager. The above units are reaching end of life (December 2015) and we are exploring options available for upgrading/replacing the existing system. The new or upgraded system must have at least the same functionality.
