Description

The University of Warwick's School of Engineering, as part of its simulator for a Drive-in, Driver-in-the-loop, multi-aXis, Driving simulator (3xD) concept, a motion base will be installed, which requires a pit. This will be pre-excavated and prepared for the motion base, however the pit will also have the same requirements for shielding as the rest of the room.
Located within the shielded room the simulator will have a 360 degree cylindrical projection screen of height 3.0m and external diameter of 8.4m.

The scope of the tender is for the supplier to design, manufacture, supply and install a shielded room to house the drive-in simulator and associated control room including all access points.
