Description

The works will include roof replacement, window replacement, internal repairs & remodelling; including historic lath & plaster repairs, new terrace structure & associated substructure works, vertical extension to WC block, new mechanical & electrical systems complete, thermal enhancements generally, floor levelling and accessibility items including new compact lift.

The expected term of the contract shall be Monday 30th October 2023 until Tuesday 30th April 2024

The closing date for receipt of Tenders is 14:00 Hrs on Monday 4th September 2023.

Potential Suppliers proposing to submit a Tender are advised to read all documents contained within the Tender Pack carefully to ensure that they are fully familiar with the nature and extent of the obligations to be accepted by them if their Tender is accepted by the Authority.

The Tender Pack shall be issued in two parts. The first release of information shall contain the majority of the tender information, with the second issue (two weeks later) including some further technical design detailing. The staged information release was considered the most time efficient to support the overall project delivery programme within the wider funding parameters for the project.

Suppliers shall be aware that this project is a grant funded scheme from the Arts Council, with the Isle of Wight Council acting as a delivery partner to grant recipients, Shademakers. The requirements for the progression of the works from tender to placing of the construction contract are strictly governed by the financial regulation of the funding party, The Arts Council.
