Description

Many downstream processing procedures relating to biological sciences and other disciplines deploy centrifugation as an essential method of separation.
Experiments often require different modes of centrifugation technique which is reflected in the need to purchase the following two types of programmable machine, plus associated rotors and tube arrangements:
o Floor Standing High Speed Centrifuge
o Floor Standing High Speed Ultracentrifuge
The centrifuges are to be sited and used within the biology laboratories of the new Joseph Priestley extension building and are intended to service teaching and expand departmental research potential by way of adding to and increasing the capacity of an existing suite of machines.
