Supply of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Hardware Appliance
Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is seeking suppliers to join the Unite Procurement Platform to support the supply of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Hardware Appliance.

Description of Requirements
PKI Platform
• Full Certificate Authority (CA), Registration Authority (RA), and Validation Authority (VA) functions
• Support for X.509 certificate issuance across classified and unclassified domains
• Compatibility with industry-standard enrolment protocols (SCEP, EST, ACME, CMP)
• Integration with Microsoft AD Certificate Auto Enrollment
• API-based integration (REST and web services)
Appliance Hardware
• Secure, hardened rack mount appliance
• Redundant SSDs
• Redundant power supplies
• ECC or equivalent error tolerant memory
• Defence grade hardening and assurance
High Availability & Scalability
• Support for multi node, geographically distributed resilience
• Real time replication and clustering
• Scalable certificate capacity (minimum 2,500 certificates, with growth to millions)
Management & Security
• Web-based administrative interface appropriate for restricted environments
• Full audit logs and compliance reporting
• Secure update mechanism
• Backup and disaster recovery functionality
• Alignment with MOD security policies and Zero Trust initiatives

Unite Procurement UK Limited does not intend to appoint a sole supplier for this requirement. Instead, multiple suppliers may be onboarded to the Unite Procurement Platform to ensure a diverse and competitive supply base, supporting flexibility and choice for the Ministry of Defence and associated organisations.
Suppliers are encouraged to express their interest by the stated closing date to ensure early consideration. However, applications to join the Unite Procurement Platform will be welcome at any time beyond the initial deadline. Unite Procurement UK Limited reserves the right to review and onboard new suppliers on a rolling basis to meet evolving requirements and to maintain a dynamic and responsive supplier network.
