Description

NHS England London Region (hereafter referred to as "The Authority") invites interested, suitably qualified and experienced providers to attend a Market Engagement Event in advance of publication of the Level 2 Endodontic Services procurement. The services contracts are split into two Lots, Lot 1 - Ealing, Hounslow and Lot 2 - Bromley.
Bidders will be provided with opportunity to feedback on the envisaged approach, both during the event and retrospectively. NHS England (London Region) will also publish feedback and question and answer responses prior to initiation of the procurement itself. Full details will be provided at the event.
Background
The NHS England document "Securing Excellence in Commissioning NHS Dental Services" (February 2013) referenced the need for the commissioning of care pathways which would be underpinned by the nationally-defined Levels of Complexity.
The purpose of this procurement is two-fold: to commission a Level 2 endodontic service which offers patients a consistent pathway throughout the London Region and to alleviate 18-week Referral to Treatment pressures in London secondary care (hospital) settings. Triaging arrangements for the new service will be via the London secondary care restorative providers, ensuring full consultant-led (Levels 3a / 3b) oversight of the referrals process.
Duration of Contract: 3 years plus 1 year extension.

The service providers will be expected to:
Comply with the requirements and quality standards as outlined in the NHS England (London Region) Endodontic Level 2 Service Specification (Will be available at the Tender publication stage).

Market Engagement: A Market Engagement Event will be held on Wednesday 22nd May 2019 from 18:00 - 20:00.
Location
Central London - Elephant & Castle - Avonmouth House, 6 Avonmouth Road, London, SE1 6NX.
The Market Engagement Event will provide:
• An overview of the current endodontic provision across the London Region;
• Details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions (inc tariff);
• An overview of the proposed commissioning approach;
• The Accreditation of Performers to Level 2 complexity care / treatment;
• Procurement process oversight and bid preparation; and
• Opportunity to discuss and feedback on NHSE proposals.
Registration
Places are limited, and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are limited to no more than two persons per organisation. It is our intention to record this event.
