Description
Cheshire West and Chester Council require a People who Harm Programme (PWH) to address harmful behaviour within an intimate relationship across the borough. Commissioning this programme will help to ensure the development and maintenance of healthy relationships by supporting participants to take responsibility for their actions and ensure they are motivated to change. Programme support will provide insight and skills that are integral to maintaining healthy relationships.
The People who Harm Programme should be for males who harm and who are aged 18 and over and should be voluntary for individuals to access. There is an equitable offer, for women who harm, that is conducted through Early Help and Prevention Service. National statistics suggest male people who harm is more prevalent. This has formed the basis of why a male only service is required at this moment in time.
The current delivery takes a groupwork approach to challenging attitudes and behaviours whilst providing a supportive approach to positive change. The council would like to seek innovative ways this can be delivered in the future to ensure maximum outcomes are met.
The Council seeks an experienced provider to work with people who harm and ensure that early identification and interventions are delivered through the borough.
The Council intends to commission a provider for a two-year contract with an option to extend for a further 12 months if required.
