Description

Initial procurement and support of qty 12 of 81mm mortar and qty 12 of 105mm Light Gun instrumentation systems to produce a realistic simulated firing solution, fall of shot and effect within a simulated environment and able to be integrated with other in-service live simulation systems (SCOPIC, Joint Fires Synthetic Training (JFST) and Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES)).
The Single Statement of User Need (SSUN) is: the user requires a realistic and immersive IDFS capability to support delivery of Fires training for Individual, Trade, and Collective Training and support assessment and validation of training competency with objective data on individual, crew and team performance. The Authority may wish to order further batches of the items, if so these will be captured as part of the Terms and Conditions as contractual Options should it decide to compete the requirement. Noting that further orders may increase the value to circa £50M.
