Description
Dudley MBC invites tenders for Door and Window Installation and Fascia Replacement Works.
This contract shall comprise of the installation only of replacement PVCU windows and composite door sets to occupied/void dwellings where the existing is not fit for purpose. The works may include a nominal amount of builders work; typically adaptation to the existing surrounds including lintel renewal where necessary, and the removal and reconnection of tenant's fittings as required. The installation only of composite fire doors to properties located within high/low rise blocks. Supply and replacement of soffit and fascia boards where required including all associated rainwater goods. The supply and erection of access equipment associated with the works in compliance with the Working at Height Regulations 2005. The removal of any rubbish arising from the works within 24 hours. The logistical support to receive PVCU windows and doors supplied by others into a storage facility with office accommodation to be provided by the appointed installer.
The works will be largely responsive in nature at commencement of contract, with works dispersed throughout the borough. It is the Council's intent to implement a programmed works approach, which will lead to works being clustered into defined estates or ward areas in the longer term.
This contract may also be used by other directorates and divisions of the Council or for Council owned buildings as required.
It is requirement for companies tendering to have the following Mandatory accreditations:
Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP)
Minimum Turnover of £3.6M
