Description

Cashless Parking Services - Delivery of parking through the use of phones and internet.

Cashless parking is well established in London and elsewhere with over 1 million customers using the service and customers benefiting from the ability to top-up paid parking time remotely.

The Council manages around 1390 off-street parking places and 127 on-street pay & display/shared use parking bays, with stay times to match the demands of residents, visitors and business, through 19 controlled parking zones, serviced by 3 ticket machines on-street and 26 machines in the off-street car parks. The current machines only accept coins and are limited to between 16 & 20 coins per transaction. The council has had no facility for accepting payment of parking charges by any other means.

The council is seeking a system to pay for on and off street parking that is cashless so in the event of pay and display machines being inoperable residents have an alternative means of payment.

The contract duration will be 5 Years (3 years plus a 2 year extension).

The deadline for the return of submissions is 12 noon Friday 19th June 2015.
The deadline for queries/clarifications is 12 noon Friday 5th June 2015.
